Mind the Gap: Digital Inequality Campaign
Mind the Gap: because everyone deserves a place in the digital world.
Billions of people are still cut off from the digital world — and with that disconnection comes exclusion from education, healthcare, jobs, and even the chance to stay in touch with loved ones. Today, 2.6 billion people remain offline — that’s one in three globally. Among them, women and girls are disproportionately affected, with nearly 190 million fewer women than men using the internet.
Mind the Gap is Youmanity’s new campaign shining a light on digital inequality. Through a series of stories and visuals, we’ll explore what it means to be left offline in a world that increasingly lives online.
The first instalment of the campaign reveals what digital exclusion looks like and why it matters — from children unable to study, to older people isolated from services, to communities without access to opportunity.
Our message is clear: digital inclusion is human inclusion. Together, we can bridge the gap.
