Dr. Paolo Claudio Marannino Joins "The Eyes Don't Lie" Scientific Panel
Plastic surgeon and researcher to address body image, digital beauty standards, and dysmorphia in adolescence.
This article forms part of The Eyes Don't Lie, Youmanity's international awareness campaign and photographic project exploring the impact of digital culture on body image and adolescent well-being.
"The Eyes Don't Lie" is an institutional and cultural initiative designed to explore body image, dysmorphia, and identity formation in adolescence. Through a powerful photographic collection by artist Nico Nardomarino—featuring 25 students from the I.C. "G. Falcone e P. Borsellino – F. Carelli" of Conversano—the project challenges digital filters and unrealistic beauty standards, encouraging young people to embrace their authentic selves without conforming to social media algorithms.
