Volunteers from both Paddington Library and Youmanity reclaiming the importance of friendship
A great event with volunteers from both Paddington Library and Youmanity marked the opening of Friend-Ship, a photography exhibition celebrating the importance of friendship.
“This is a community project designed to encourage society to reflect on the value of human connection,” Maggie Carman, Cllr for Westminster City Council
The exhibition showcased 30 portraits of people from all walks of life. Photographer Grace Lambert-Phillips asked sitters what friendship meant to them before taking their portrait. Friend-Ship was commissioned by the Paddington Library to mark this year's International Friendship Day.
“Friend-Ship is a sensitive community project designed to encourage society to reflect on the value of human connection.” Angelo Iudice, Founder of Youmanity.
