Brazilian Festival Fever hits London
The renowned Festa Junina or the June Festival will come to London for the very first time and will unfold from 27 May to 4 June.
The Festa Junina takes place in Brazil every year in June. Each city has its very own program, but what they all have in common is typical delicious food and drink and, of course, that Brazilian flair for a good party!.
Brasil Junino for London has being hosted by the Embassy of Brazil promises an exciting line-up, with legendary Brazilian musician, composer and saxophonist, Zeu Azevedo. The festival will also feature live dance recitals, or quadrilhas juninas, by Si Bobiá a Gente Pimba, from Brasilia and Raio de Sol, from Recife. Hopefully there will be a series of live street performances throughout central London, to help promote the initiative.
Brasil Junino opens on 27 May and runs to 4 June at the Embassy of Brazil in London, 14- 16 Cockspur St, St. James's, London SW1Y 5BL. It is open to the public from 1pm to 7pm daily and entry is free.
Such a great way to appreciate a different culture!
