Stories of Friendship explores feelings of peace and brotherhood during World War II
The focus of this project has been not so much on weapons, uniforms, combat techniques, as on ordinary people's stories who, revealing their humanity, show a perspective of a bygone era.
Over one hundred prints from the archives of the Imperial War Museum provide a new insight into some of the most significant encounters between British soldiers and the civilian population. Former enemies who fall in Love!
