Chair of Youmanity
A graduate of Psychology from the University of London, Angelo Iudice works as a researcher for a Government body of the United Kingdom.
With cultural diversity being central in his life, in 2008 he founded Youmanity with the main objective of promoting the importance of social inclusion. Below the motivation behind his passion for his NGO.
" I was 18 when I came to London looking for acceptance. My adoptive British home became the most exciting place in the world and so were the people I met - many from other ethnic minorities. They showed me hospitality and taught their customs and traditions. This, of course, wasn’t without its problems.
During my time in London, I also met people who challenged my believes, my identity and my allegiance to this country. The more I was challenged, the more determined I became to achieve good results through which to show my gratitude to those who gave me a chance."
Angelo was knighted by the Republic of Italy in June 2015 for his efforts in promoting cultural diversity.
