Well done Amber and Adam!
As we approach the peak of the COVID-19 crisis, a time that is testing us all, Governments across the world are appealing to manufacturers to make products that can help fight this silent killer.
In the UK Dyson is producing 15,000 ventilators in anticipation of a surge in patients requiring hospitalisation. Whereas in France Louis Vuitton is using its perfume production lines to make much needed hand sanitisers. And in Milan Giorgio Armani donated €1.25m (£1.1m) to hospitals. The luxury brand is also instructed all its factories to make medical overalls for healthcare workers amid shortages.
This is also a time when people from all walks of life are getting together to support one another. In our street at Youmanity local residents Amber and Adam, originally form New Zealand, made contact with the local community offering their support.
“We consider our offer to help support our neighbours nothing more than the right thing to do as we are in a position to help. We've had a great response from other Hatherley Grove residents offering their assistance," told us this caring couple from the down the road.
Last week Amber and Adam posted a most touching message in all residents mailboxes:
“… This is a difficult and worrying time for everyone we just want to help, so if you need any help we, we’d be happy to pick up prescriptions, run errands or just listen if you want to chat.”

Meanwhile, William Nathan, manager at Waitrose Bayswater, is allowing our volunteers to access his store during the 'priority' hour, 7:30-8:30am to collect groceries for elderly and vulnerable residents.
It is absolutely wonderful to see how the local community is getting together during such challenging times. Please keep your spirits up. Covid-19 will have to become a thing of the past!
